Each command in a procedure is represented by a simple tile which immediatly provides a visual overview of the procedure steps. Less is more and NOVA 2.0 applies this as much as possible, displaying only the most relevant information in all parts of the application. The new visual style greatly facilitates the learning process of NOVA 2.0, making it a welcoming environment for both experienced users and newcomers alike. Panels can be collapsed to provide more room or can be undocked to be displayed on a second screen, if applicable. NOVA 2.0 is supplied a wide range of data handling and data analysis tools that can be used to process measured data points and apply analysis methods, thus reducing the need for third-party applications. The data analysis and handling commands provided in NOVA 2.0 can be used at the end of each measurement or can be included directly in the procedure in order to execute these commands automatically while the measurement is running. Of course, it is possible to export the measured data to third-party application for further processing and analysis.

This can be done in a few mouse clicks and can also be done automatically if the necessary commands are added to the procedure. The Scheduler is a new feature of NOVA 2.0. The sceduler can be used to define a measurement schedule for each available instrument.

Several procedures can be added to each instrument schedule and optional synchronization points can be added to the schedule as well. This simplifies long measurements drastically since each instrument will execute the specified procedures sequentially. Procedure can be added to a new or existing schedule using the simple drag and drop method.

Each procedure is represented by a white box in the schedule, the size of which is scaled in proportion to other procedures in order to visually indicate the relative duration.
